  • Once you fill out our short questionnaire, we’ll determine if your insurance covers our services. If our services are covered by your insurance, we’ll match you with a dietitian based on your personal health goals and needs, and we’ll get you scheduled with a registered dietitian!

    After your first appointment with your dietitian, you’ll receive access to other Swap Health benefits, like weekly cash back on nutritious groceries, to help you get to your health goals.

  • Swap Health works with health insurance plans to make sure that your access to Swap Health is completely covered. That means if you have any insurance coverage through Medicaid, an MCO, or most commercial health insurances, you won’t need to pay for Swap Health. In rare instances, some users have a copay with their insurance but we’ll make sure you know ahead of time if that applies to you.

  • Currently, we match new members with one of our qualified registered dietitians based on peoples’ individual health goals and needs. We also match members with dietitians who are licensed to practice in the state the member is residing in.

    If you have a particular dietitian you would like to work with, please let us know, and we will try our best to accommodate your requests.

  • During your first session, you will meet virtually (either by phone or video call) with your assigned dietitian for around 45-minutes. If you have accessibility concerns, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs!

    You’ll discuss your overall health goals so we can determine how we can best support you and how you can get the most from the Swap Health app.

    You can discuss how you’d like to receive support from our dietitians, if at all, and you’ll be given instructions on how to download the Swap Health app so you can start working on your health goals and earning cash back!

  • For new members, follow-up sessions are generally 30-minutes long and take place on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Your dietitian will work with you to find a cadence that works for you, so make sure to let your dietitian know if you need something more flexible.

    During follow-up sessions, you and your dietitian can discuss your progress and talk about any challenges and/or successes you experienced since your last session. We understand progress is not always linear, so we encourage our members to discuss modifications to their recommendations during follow-ups!

  • No, members do not have to commit to a certain amount of sessions/appointments, but we encourage members to take advantage of having access to our expert registered dietitians so they can reach their health goals!

    Members are, however, required to attend sessions at least once every 8 weeks in order to maintain access to our benefits, like cash back on groceries.

    If you schedule an appointment, however, we do ask you to attend your session or cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment to respect dietitians’ times and to allow our other members to schedule appointments.

  • In order to receive cash back on groceries, you’ll be asked to upload your receipts so we can validate which items are eligible for cash-back. Once you’ve uploaded your receipt(s), our team will send you up to $10.00 cash-back (each week) on eligible grocery items via an E-gift card for your favorite grocery store.

  • Your health coach and/or registered dietitian will work with you to identify foods that are considered healthy for your personal health needs and goals.

    If you purchase groceries within the list of recommended items that are provided for you (and provide us with a copy of your receipts), we’ll send you cash-back on those items!

  • Don’t worry, our platform was designed to be extremely easy to use and takes only a few minutes to get up and running. If you’d prefer to not use an app on your phone, you can also access SwapHealth directly from a laptop or desktop computer.

  • In order to access the Swap app, and all other Swap Health services, you’ll need to meet with one of our registered dietitians.

  • Every dietitian and health coach is certified, accredited, and vetted to ensure that you’ll be receiving high-quality care and attention.
